A simple creature that decided to move in
Blessed little furrr ball,
meow- the only
sacred word G-d taught him,
And it could mean as much as love
to man,
"Got milk?", "Carry me",
"Will you let me explore the garden?"
he asks by demanding, he demands by
not asking, silence and a single meow.
Slit eyes that reflect the soul in
the night, "Come let us find my shadow"-
For days he ponders and searches
the shrubs and his undergarment,
One night, after the mice have fallen asleep
we explore the house and its cobwebs-
I will draw it for you on the wall,
I insisted, his paw soon followed the line
of my finger against his solid form,
but does he see, or does he know?
Everyway, a visible distinction that
something is standing in the wall,
Should we look into the mirror?
"What for, there's nothing to see"
The moon hangs on the sky,
one cat's eye, the other dreaming,
in a month, his shadow will
explore the netherworld of dreams,
and he will become the lost
tiger of ancestral jungle, no longer
the dwarf in search of a lost cause,
but in the end, all he said was meow.
